Still my all time favorite healthy dessert spot! We live in West Moreland but regularly head over to Sunny’s because the yogurt choices are awesome and the toppings are oh so tasty!
This place was super cute. They had a salted caramel popcorn fro yo- sounds a little cray cray but it was awesome. They had a kosher topping designation and I thought that was really cool. Nice people and good fro yo in a cute place, and, next to Laughing Planet. Can’t beat it!
If you’re grabbing a bite at Laughing Planet next door, Sunny’s is a logical conclusion to your meal. The flavors are not exactly run of the mill. Besides the ever-trendy salted caramel, they have french vanilla, which really has no equal. The toppings options here are also more diverse than the average yogurt place, all sorts of fruits and various sweet things I hadn’t seen in years. It is just like being in a candy store, except better. Prices were fine, and they have a frequent-yogurter punch card, which is nice. I’ll be back.
Finally, it has came… A frozen yogurt shop and it is legen “wait for it” dary; LEGENDARY!
I’ve said all along we’ve needed a frozen yogurt shop in the little strip mall of SW 45th & SW Vermont and voila it has appeared! With months planning, it has opened… Though not on my own [wish I took that initiative], but the awesome work of Sunny [if that’s really the owner’s name, I hadn’t asked]. It has just opened, so of course there are tweaks that they’re still working on but I’m certain the popularity of the shop will grow and grow within the coming months. Come spring, come summer this place will be a poppin’.Things though to consider:
– Non-dairy options for froyo
– Cereal toppings like fruity pebbles for example
– Yogurt drops (love, love, love)
– Drinks (maybe… A coffee shop recently opened in the area, so hard to compete)Anyway, super nice service and perfect location.
